Brandon "Breeze" Baril and Thomas "SP aka So Phenomenal" Skinner were born and raised in Queens. The two met in junior high and have been friends and creative running partners since they were in fifth grade. When they realized that their organic love for music and talents complimented each other, they started SBE Records.
Musically influenced and motivated by a combination of head-knocking hip-hop, live instruments and street beats; SP was determined to learn and master the MPC Beat Machine. The young lyricist Breeze combines everyday teen/young adult lifestyles, occurrences and tribulations with outstanding foresight and clarity. Without the use of vulgarity or condescension, Breeze's producing and refined verbal skills on the mic are reflected in his diverse repertoire. Collectively, they are the pinnacle of the SBE movement that unifies hundreds of teens with positive vibes and upbeat rhythms that stand out in the streets and on the airwaves today. While Breeze and SP fans are teens and young adults, their musical style is reminiscent of the 90's rap genre and include the versatility of a modern day Doug E. Fresh combined with the fun of Kid N' Play.
